About Us
We Didn't Plan This. That's Kind of the Point.
It was 2020. The world had locked itself indoors, everyone was baking sourdough, and our founder was in Salisbury with some basic equipment, a small ink setup, working out of a walk in closet and with absolutely no business plan. What started as a way to survive the apocalypse with a bit of creativity became SadShirtClub — a brand for people who've always felt a little too much, a little too weird, and a little too themselves for the mainstream.
We didn't start with a mood board or a five-year strategy. We started with a feeling. That feeling you get when you find a piece of clothing that finally looks like the inside of your head. Dark. Honest. A little bit beautiful. A little bit broken.
Who We're For
The weirdos. The dreamers. The nostalgic gamers who still quote films from 2003. The people who feel more at home in a cemetery than a shopping centre. The ones who've always felt a little out of place — and have decided to make that their whole personality.
If that's you: welcome home. We've been expecting you.
What We Make
Dark aesthetic graphic tees. Gothic jewellery. Platform boots. Press-on nails that say something. Eyeliner sharp enough to cut through small talk. Lipstick in shades that polite society would rather you didn't wear. And yes — baby onesies, because the next generation deserves better taste from the start.
Everything we make is designed for people who don't do things by halves. Sadcore fashion, punk sensibility, gothic soul. Made with love, mild chaos, and a lot of black ink.
🏆 2026 Small Business Awards Finalist
We're proud (and honestly a little shocked) to be named a finalist for Best Small Business at the 2026 Small Business Awards. We started in a lockdown with a dream and some ink, and somehow ended up here. This one's for every Sadling who ever bought a shirt, shared a post, or just told a friend about us. You did this.
Our Mission (Said Without Irony, For Once)
We believe fashion should feel like self-expression, not a costume. We believe the dark, the strange, and the melancholy deserve a seat at the table — and a really good outfit. We're here to make clothes and accessories that let you show up exactly as you are, no apologies required.
We're also a small business. A real one. Built by hand, grown by community, and still slightly surprised it's working.
Join the Sadlings
The Sadlings are our people. Our community. The ones who get early access, exclusive drops, and the occasional existential newsletter. If you want to be part of something that feels like a secret club for people who are in on the joke — this is it.
